Tacos and Tunes Benefit Concert
 
Together with the Elk Grove Community Concert Band,
the PGHS Concert and Jazz Bands proudly present
our 3rd Annual Dinner Concert
 to support the PGHS & KAMS Music Programs

6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Dinner by Baja Burrito, entertainment by
the Elk Grove Community Band, the PGHS Concert Band, and PGHS/KAMS Jazz Band.
Silent Auction too!
 
$10 in advance / $12 at the door
(checks made out to PGH Band Boosters)
 
Includes a chicken, carnitas or grilled veggie taco meal, tortillas, chips, rice, beans and drink.  Please email Giselle Koford to purchase your tickets in advance.  Proceeds benefit the Katherine Albiani Middle School and Pleasant Grove High School Music Programs. 
 
Tentative Schedule:
Silent Auction and Dinner             6:00-7:30 p.m.
PGHS Concert Band performs     6:00-6:30 p.m.
PGHS Jazz Band performs            6:30-7:00 p.m.
EG Community Band performs    7:00-8:00 p.m.

District-wide financial cutbacks in education have made community support necessary to continue providing materials and opportunities to our music students.  We depend on supporters like you more than ever for sources of the fundraising revenues that provide for band equipment purchase and repair, music purchases, competition fees, cost for special instruction, and performance travel by band students.

A Huge Thank You to our Community Sponsors and Band Families for all the donations for this event!!  The Silent Auction was awesome!!!  Here are a few of the 35 items we had!

  • A Chocolate Lovers Basket full of everything chocolate--donated by the Clarinet Section
  • A Baking Basket with things to help you bake the most decadent desserts donated by the Flute Section.
  • A Music Lovers Basket with CDs, iTunes cards, even an iPod!!  Donated by the Saxophone Section.
  • The Trumpet Section has the Coffee Lovers Basket to help you wake up in the morning!
  • Get ready for Movie Night with this basket full of DVD's and snacks, and everything you need for a fun night--donated by our Low Brass Section.
  • The Beauty and Spa Basket is donated by our Percussion Section and has a whole variety of bath and body items to pamper you.
  • There is a hand-sewn golf bag (for a woman), golf cart mat and balls, matted bird print, and beautiful quilt made by one of our band moms.
  • There will be a Dog Lovers Basket full of treats and chews and toys too.
  • You can even bid on an hour of labor for a service call by MSE Plumbing.
  • There are services and gift certificates donated by many of our community sponsors.  There are too many items to list here.
