Community service hours and student account earnings opportunity for all Band, Colorguard, and Winter Percussion students.**
Extended	Feb. 10	Disneyland deposit due - $100 nonrefundable deposit for the Band Disneyland Trip is due today to reserve your spot. You may transfer funds from the band student account by filling out the transfer form.
	Friday, Feb. 10	Winter Percussion Performance - Women's Basketball Game. Call time is 6:00 p.m. in PGHS Band Room. Tip off at 7:00 p.m.
	Saturday, Feb. 11	1st Winter Percussion and Winter Guard Competition at Rodriguez High School - 5000 Red Top Road, Fairfield. Call time TBA in front of PGHS. Driving directions: From our school, go to Hwy 99 or I-5 northbound and take the ramp for San Francisco (I-80 westbound). Proceed on I-80 about 43 miles; watch for the Red Top Road exit (after the 680 turn-off). Turn left off the exit onto Red Top Road and proceed to Watt Dr. Turn left on Watt Dr. and right into the spectator's parking lot. Oakbrook Drive is likely to be coned off. If you have equipment, go all the way to Lopes Rd. and make a U-turn to access the trailer parking lot. TRAVEL TIME IS minimum 66 MINUTES.

		Butter Braid and Band Coffee Fundraiser Start. Pick up an order form in class or download from School Loop Group Locker.
	Friday Feb. 24 or Saturday, Feb. 25?	Festival Jazz Band to perform at the Woodcreek High School Jazz Festival in Roseville. Call time TBA at Woodcreek HS. Performance is mandatory for all Festival Jazz Band members. Dress is ALL BLACK concert attire - no exceptions! Men must wear a tie. There is an admission charge (performers are free) of ~$5.00, which will get you into all performances that day. *Don't forget to bring home your instrument on Friday! Driving directions: Take Hwy 99 to I-80 (Reno). Take exit #102 Riverside Ave./Auburn Blvd. and go toward Roseville/Riverside Ave. Get into the left lane right away and take the next left on Cirby Way. Turn right on Foothills Blvd., then left on Baseline Road. Turn right on Woodcreek Oaks Blvd. The school will be on the left @ 2551 Woodcreek Oaks Blvd. Driving time is approximately 45 minutes from Elk Grove. Click here for map.
	Monday, Feb. 27	Jazz Band performance for Academic Awards Night. Call time 6:00 p.m. @ PGHS band room. Dressy black concert attire. Performance from 6:30-7:00 p.m. For students who are attending the ceremony, please take your instrument back to the band room before joining your classmates in the gym. Those not attending the ceremony will be dismissed at 7:15. Ceremony should conclude by 8 p.m.

	Saturday, March 10	Albiani Concert Band - EGUSD Middle School Band Festival -Attendance is mandatory unless by prior arrangement with Mr. Souliere. Remember to bring home your instrument on Friday. Call time TBA at Harriet Eddy Middle School. This is a great opportunity to hear other middle school bands from the district so we encourage you to stay and watch other groups. Group photos will be taken after each performance. (choice of serious pose and/or funny). If you would like to purchase either of these, please send money with your student to order. There will also be a professional recording made of the band's performance. CD's can be purchased and must be pre-ordered as a group.

	Friday, March	Butter Braid and Band Coffee pick up after school in the Band Room - 3:00-3:30 p.m. Bring an ice chest if you are not planning to go home directly because the Butter Braids need to be kept frozen until use.
	Saturday, March 24	Winter Percussion and Winter Guard Competition at Elk Grove High School. Please come out to this local show to support our team. There is an admission charge if you are staying to watch other groups than ours. $7 general, $5 seniors and students. See more info on Winter Percussion page.
New	Sunday, March 25	Jazz Band Performance for the Nor Cal Big Bands Preservation Society. Elks Lodge @ Riverside Blvd and Florin Road (I-5 northbound from Elk Grove to Florin Rd west. Follow Florin Road until it dead ends on Riverside Blvd, turn left, then immediately right into the Elks Lodge parking lot). Call time is 12 noon for a 1:00 p.m. performance. Dressy black concert attire. *Don't forget to bring home your instruments on Friday.

	Saturday, May 5	Marching band and Color Guard - Elk Grove Western Festival Parade. Full uniform (don't forget your hat!). Call time is 9:00 a.m. at the corner of School Street and Locust Street. The parade steps off at 10 a.m. at the corner of School Street and Elk Grove Blvd, and end at Elk Grove High School. So it would be best if you park your car down there before the roads close or make other pickup arrangement.

	Thursday, July 7	Chick-Fil-A Dinner Night from 5-8 pm and 20% of your purchase will benefit PGHS percussion. You do not need to eat in, just go through the drive-thru or sit in, and mention the fundraiser or bring a flyer. If you come inside we will have a spinning wheel where everyone wins a prize (which is all Chick-Fil-A merchandise or food) with a spin for just a $1; (100% of the proceeds here go to the group). 	August 31	PGHS Marching Band and Colorguard Picture Day - You'll need to have your full uniform (minus the hat) at school. Don't forget black shoes and black socks. Group, buddy and individual pictures may be taken. (If you are planning to take buddy pics, please make sure you have your group together and package chosen). Click here to see last year's order form (prices should be similar). Checks are payable to La Verne Gonzales, due on picture day. Report to the Band Room at the beginning of 4th period to change into uniform! If you are late, you may not be in the group picture.

	Sept. 1	PGHS Back to School Night - 6:30-8:30 p.m. *0-period Jazz Band meeting time @ 6:15-6:25 p.m. Albiani students who are in the Jazz Band will also meet at the high school. If you did not pick up an orientation folder at Band Camp, please pick one up. Instrument Rental Night @ Pleasant Grove High School Band Room during Back to School Night. Parents need to attend with their student to sign contract, pay deposit, etc.
	Sept. 1	Senior BBQ - All day (Main Gym)
	Sept. 3	Marching Band will be playing at the Football Game (PG vs. Lincoln) at Del Oro High School. Meet at PGHS to load up at 2:30 p.m. Students will be riding on a bus. Students will hopefully be receiving their uniform t-shirts and ball caps on Friday. Don't forget black shoes and black socks.
	Sept. 5	Labor Day Holiday
	Thursday, Sept. 8	Spotlight Elk Grove Event - 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. SES Hall Elk Grove. The DeWald Taylor Jazztet is performing.
	Sept. 9	Marching Band - Fall Homecoming Rally - Gym. Rally Schedule. Students wear their band shirts and jeans to school. Call time 2:15 p.m. in the Band Room.
	Sept. 10	Fall E-Waste Event - 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. @ PGHS Parking lot. Rain or Shine! Tell all your friends and family about this event. Save up all electronic gadgets you're planning to get rid of. This is one of our main fundraisers for the year and is qualified for either community service hours or student account earnings. Check out our E-Waste page for more info.

	Sept. 15	Powder Puff Football Game - 6:00 and 7:30 p.m.
	Sept. 16	Marching band - Homecoming Parade. Wear Band shirt, cap, uniform bibs, black socks and shoes. Call time 1:30 p.m. in the PGHS Band Room. Parade steps off at 2:30 p.m. Marching band - 1st home football game (homecoming) @ Sheldon Stadium (vs. McNair). Call time 6 p.m. (5:30 p.m. for Drumline). Don't forget to put your instruments into the trailer after the parade and bring home your uniform (including hat!). Label those uniforms! Wear Band shirt and cap while in the stands.

	Oct. 1-2	Elk Grove Harvest Festival @ Elk Grove Park. Drumline will be running game booths and food booth at this festival. Go support our band and drumline at the festival! 	Friday, Oct. 28	Marching band - 4th home football game @ Sheldon Stadium (vs. Folsom). Call time 6 p.m. (5:30 p.m. for Drumline). Full uniform. This will be Senior Recognition Night for Football team, Cheer, Band and Colorguard. If you have a senior band or colorguard student, please come to the game that night and escort them on the field! Please let Mr. Souliere know if you will not be there that night.

Make sure you pack everything you need for both the game and the parade into the trailer, esp. if you play multiple instruments. The trailer is not coming back to the school between the two performances.

	Nov. 11	Marching band - Veteran's Day Parade. Call time is 10 a.m. (9:30 a.m. for Drumline). Meet in the Community Services District parking lot on Elk Grove Blvd. (across the street from Joseph Kerr Middle School). Be aware that the streets may be closed to traffic at 9:30 a.m. so you may want to be dropped off a little earlier. Full uniform (Don't forget your hat and black socks that cover your ankles!). Parade steps off at 11:00 a.m. sharp.

	Nov. 12	Fall Festival and Holiday Bazaar - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come do your holiday shopping in a fun and festive place! We will have 40+ vendors inside our spacious Multi-purpose Room. 	Thursday, Nov. 17	Albiani Band and Combined Jazz band - Fall Concert @ Black Box Theater, PGHS campus. Call time 6:30 p.m. for a 7 p.m. performance. Concert black attire (black shirt/blouse or dress, black pants or skirt, black socks and shoes). Boys wear ties please.
	Nov. 18	Marching Band - 2nd Playoff Game (vs. Pitman). Call time 6:30 p.m. Wear Band sweatshirt and jeans. Dress warm and be prepare for rain.

	Friday, Nov. 25	Marching Band - Playoff Game (vs. Bethel) at Sheldon Stadium. Call time 6:30 p.m. Wear Band shirt/sweatshirt and jeans. Dress warm! Be prepared for rain. Bring towels to dry off instruments and bleachers.
	Nov. 26	Marching band & Colorguard - Parade of Lights. This performance will include both PGHS and KAMS Marching/Concert Band students. Call time at 4:30 p.m. at the corner of Derr St. and Elk Grove Blvd. (about 1/2 mile west of the Waterman CVS). Wear your band uniform with a Santa hat instead of your marching hat. The parade starts at Derr Street and ends at Adams Street. Tree lighting ceremony is immediately following the parade at Elk Grove Blvd. and Walnut. Students are encouraged to light their instrument with battery operated strings of lights (available at CVS, Walgreens and Michaels). See the Home page for more instructions. The Jazz Combo will be playing at Folsom Lake College at 4:30 p.m. Warm-up at 4:00 p.m. There is an admission charge for parents/chaperones of $12/person--no exceptions. This includes admittance to all venues (at Folsom Lake College and at Rolling Hills Christian Church) as well as noon and evening concerts. Student performers will be admitted free of charge and are invited to attend noon clinics, noon and evening concerts. Dress is all black concert attire - no exceptions! Men must wear a tie.
