KAMS and PGHS Band Camp 2009
The 2009-2010 school year will be starting a week earlier this year. Band Camp is scheduled for the week of August 10th, Monday through Friday, from 3:00-6:30 p.m. for students in Marching/Concert Band, and 7:00-8:00 p.m. for Jazz Band. All students who will be in KAMS or PGHS Concert Band and Jazz Band are expected to participate in Band Camp, which offers valuable experience and information for all band members. Those interested in being in fall percussion will meet from 1:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday through Thursday (Battery only 1:00-3:00), and 3:00-6:00 p.m. on Friday for Percussion Camp. If you have a conflict because of sports or other commitments, please contact Mr. DeWald.
What you'll need: Your instrument. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes (no flip flops) as you will be learning to march on the track. Bring sun protection (sunscreen and hat) and bring water and snacks/sack lunch daily. The Band Boosters will be providing a pizza dinner probably on Wednesday. You will be fitted for a uniform during this week also. You must pay your uniform cleaning fee and sign your uniform contract before you are allowed to take home the uniform. There will be an end-of-camp party on Friday--more details coming soon.
