The Pleasant Grove High Band Boosters is an association organized to create interest in and give moral and financial support to the music and related programs of Pleasant Grove High School and Katherine Albiani Middle School, both located in Elk Grove, CA.  At Pleasant Grove High School, these programs include Concert/Marching Band, Jazz Band,

 

Color Guard, and Winter Percussion; at Albiani, Concert and Beginning Bands.

Tacos and Tunes Dinner Concert! 

Our 5th annual Tacos and Tunes Dinner Concert will be held on Monday, February 6th at 6 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room!  For your entertainment pleasure, the PGHS and KAMS Concert and Jazz Bands will be performing, as well as our Winter Percussion Ensemble.  A complete chicken, carnitas, or veggie taco meal with all the fixings will be served for only $10 pre-sale!  E-mail Giselle for tickets.  A fabulous silent auction will again be offered!  Please visit our Tacos and Tunes page for more info!

Home Basketball Game 

Marching Band will be playing for the Basketball Game on Friday, February 3rd.  Call time 6 p.m.  Tip-off at 7 p.m.  PGHS Gym.  Wear Band Shirt and Jeans. 

Folsom Jazz Festival

The PGHS Festival Jazz Band and Jazz Combo will be performing at the Folsom Jazz Festival on Saturday, January 28th.  Call time 7:15 a.m. for Jazz Band for an 8:00 a.m. performance at the Rolling Hills Christian Church in El Dorado Hills.  Currently, the Jazz Combo is scheduled for performing at 4:35 p.m. at Folsom Lake College Black Box Theater.  Call time is 3:45 p.m.  There is a $12 ($9 seniors/ students) general admission charge for all parents and chaperones for the entire day's events.  All Black concert attire.  Boys must wear a tie.

Pre-Festival Concert

The Wooster High School Jazz Ensemble from Reno will be here on Friday, January 27.  We will be having a combined concert with them in the Black Box Theatre at about 7 p.m.  Come see our jazz bands perform before their competition at Folsom Jazz Festival the next day.  Students will be served pizza after the concert.

With the current state of the economy, music and arts programs in our school receive no funding from the school district.  We depend on the generous donation from our community sponsors and parents, and through fundraising efforts, in order to have the funds to purchase music, participate in festivals and parades, purchase and repair instruments, and maintain uniforms.  Please consider being a sponsor for the music programs at PGHS and KAMS.  Any amount would be greatly appreciated.  For donations of $200 and over, we will advertise your business on the side of the band trailer, on the back of the band t-shirt, and on our website.  Please download the sponsor's letter and return it with your contribution.  Your donation is tax deductible.  Thank you.
