Butter Braid Fundraiser - Delivery on Friday 3/12

The Butter Braids will be delivered on Friday, 3/12 at 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the Band Room.  (This is a minimum day).  If you cannot pick up the braids at that time, please contact Mrs. Koford for another pick up time.  The amount that you earned had been added to your student savings account and you will need to fill out a Student Account Fund Transfer/Reimbursement Form to tell us what you want us to do with the money--whether to pay for Disneyland or other music-related expenses such as Winter Percussion fees or instrument repair costs.

Butter Braid is a frozen pastry product that is great as breakfast, dessert, or snack.  Because the product needs to remain frozen, they will need to be picked up promptly after school.  Bring a cooler if you can.  Alternate pick-up time TBD.  Any questions, please feel free to contact Mrs. Koford.

Winter Percussion Competitions at McClatchy and Elk Grove High Schools

Come out and support the Winter Percussion Ensemble as they compete in two local competitions this week.  On Friday March 12th, they'll be at McClatchy High School in Sacramento, performing at   Then on Saturday March 13th, they'll be at Elk Grove High School, performing at   Admission to McClatchy High’s competitions is $8 for adults, $5 for students and adults over 60, free for children under 5.  For EGHS, admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students and seniors with ID, free for children 5 and under.  Those who do not plan on watching other shows than ours may enter the floor with the ensemble, but you must leave the gym when the group is done performing.  We will need help with moving equipment on and off quickly because the competition is timed.  Please meet us in the parking lot at least 45 minutes prior to performance time where the group will be practicing amongst other competing groups. We'd love to have a big crowd for the ensemble as these are the two closest shows to home for the season.  The 2010 Ensemble is performing their show entitled "Journey" featuring music from the band Journey.  Hope to see you there!  Please visit our Winter Percussion page for more information.
