Holiday Bazaar and Horrible Haunted High School Tour of Terror

On October 25, 2008, the Multipurpose room was transformed into a wonderfully festive crafts faire, while the high school campus turned into haunted grounds full of ghouls, witches and murderers.  Please visit the Holiday Bazaar page for more photos and information.

Homecoming Parade

The band braved the strong north wind and led the parade around the Albiani and Pleasant Grove campuses on September 10, 2008

Fog Willow Farms Performance

The PGHS/KAMS Jazz Band and Marching Band performed at the Fog Willow Pumpkin Farm in Wilton on October 4, 2008.  We had a rainy start, but the skies cleared in time for all to have a fun day performing and enjoyed a BBQ with all the fixings.  The puppies were definitely the biggest attractions there that day!  (see Fog Willow page for more pictures).

Wilton Centennial Celebration and Parade

On September 27, 2008, the PGHS/KAMS Marching Band helped kick off the Centennial Celebration and Chili Cook-off in Wilton.  This is the first parade of the season with a number of middle school students joining in, lead by our two drum majors.  The parade stepped off from Dillard School and ended at the Fire Station.

Football Game - September 19, 2008

This was the first field show of the season featuring songs by Danny Elfman - Spiderman main themes, Tales from the Crypt, Simsons, Nightmare before Christmas, and many more.  This is the first time we have had both Pleasant Grove High and Albiani Middle School students marching in a field show.

Football Season 2007

Our first field show, performed at the football game on September 7, went very well, featuring the music from the motion picture The Incredibles.  The pictures shown are of the band marching in between the Frosh and Junior-Varsity games and during the half-time show.  For the game September 21, another element was added, from the second theme of the movie.

Homecoming 2007 - The Year of a Million Dreams

The band led off an exciting parade which featured floats from all 4 classes and our first ever Senior Class. The game which followed extended our home field winning streak to 3 games.

Fog Willow Pumpkin Farms

The Fog Willow Pumpkin Farm performance was the first performance of the year to feature both the jazz and the marching band.  Jazz band led off, with a break for our delicious fundraising barbecue, with chefs Tony Manzanetti and Brian Yue cooking up over 120 meals.  Skylar Manzanetti and AJ Ramirez performed with their band during the lunch break. The marching band performed their field show music, and then the jazz band took the stage again to finish off a wonderful fall event.  The photo below shows exchange student Josef Reznicek performing on the tenor sax.

Haunted House/Holiday Bazaar 2007

Coordinated by the Abe family and a VERY dedicated and enthusiastic crew from both campuses, the Haunted House was a "screaming" success, visited by over 300 people in only 6 hours!  Jesse Stayner's and Leah McPheeter's performance of "the mad surgeon" was, shall we say, particularly "heart wrenching." Kudos to all the construction crew who overcame obstacles aplenty to put together (not once, but twice!) an awesome Haunted House.  The Holiday Bazaar next door hosted over 40 vendors in a festive and fun environment, with truly outstanding shopping opportunities.  We are hoping to continue building this event into an activity the entire community looks forward to every year.

Veteran's Day Parade - November 15, 2007

The band turned in yet another striking performance, showcasing Marches of the Armed Forces and Latin Closer, in a tribute to the parade theme honoring contributions of Hispano-American troops and veterans.  Our entry was led by guest standard-bearer William Reyna.

Vocal solos by Jill Haney, Leah McPheeters, Korinna Smith, and guest Lauren Greenwood were featured during the jazz segment of the show.

Basketball Season - December 2007 - Feb. 2008

The band continued to lend its support to the men's and women's basketball teams, playing for half times and time outs. The Winter Percussion team previewed its routine to a cheering crowd for our last performance of the season.
